DAX query to compare previous values
I am new to PowerBI. I need help in creating a DAX function for the below table named 'Cases'. The requirement is to Sum the Column 'Value' that have the same 'ID'. For example the DAX expresssion should return 1 for A1B, 2 for B2C, and 1 for C2A

Have you tried putting both columns into a table visual - you should get your desired result without DAX.

Thanks @Ibendlin. While for this specific example the table works as mentioned by you (did not know that until now), my actual use case is complex that I would need the DAX expression. Request if you can please help me
