I want to calculate the sum of 'carry forward tickets' but only for the EndOfWeek date. We are using it in a bar graph to show the 'carry forward tickets' at the end of week.
I did something like this:
CarryForwardTicketsWeekEnd =
SUMMARIZE(
FILTER(carry_forward, carry_forward[Date] = dim_date[End of Week Date]),
dim_date[End of Week Date],
"Carry Forward Tickets", SUM(carry_forward[carry_forward_tickets])
)
This does not work as DAX measure is not recognizing the dim_date[End of Week Date] for filtering.
I have two tables dim_date which is Date table and carry_forward table which has 2 columns: 1) calendar_date, 2) carry_forward_tickets.
I thought of creating "End of Week" column in the carry_forward table itself but in the bar graph we are using dim_date[dates] on X axis.
They are connected properly with dim_date on one side and carry_forward table on many side with single filter.
Try
Carry Forward Tickets Weekend =
VAR WeekEnd =
MAX ( 'dim_date'[End of week] )
RETURN
CALCULATE (
SUM ( carry_forward[carry_forward_tickets] ),
REMOVEFILTERS ( 'dim_date' ),
'dim_date'[End of week] = WeekEnd
)
