DAX Function not recognising measure as ColumnTable

Hi,

I'm new in DAX. I'm trying to create a measure to show in a card, volume sales for the previous month (current month is still live so its not a full month). I have found the below example function:

Previous Month = CALCULATE(SUM(InternetSales_USD[SalesAmount_USD]), PREVIOUSMONTH('DateTime'[DateKey]))

This is the measure I'm trying to use in the function:

Below is my attempt in recreating the formula. As you can see the measure is greyed out.

I am connected to live data. The measure I want to use seems to be a background calculation, I did not create it.

An ideas how I can fix this?

Thanks!:)

Hi @Anonymous

SUM functions accepts only column as its argument and does not accept a measure. To recalculate a mesure no need to use SUM just use

Previous Month =
CALCULATE (
    [Physical Cases Direct Actual],
    PREVIOUSMONTH ( 'DateTime'[DateKey] )
)
