Custom Measures on live dataset

Dear all, I have access to a live dataset from my organization, 

There are some predefined Measures :  Sell Volume.

Other dimension fields : Customer Code , Date Order , 

Now I would like to create a custom Measure - such as

Count the number of SKU a customer that has order for each month

Count the number of customer that has no sales order in a month

etc.

Unfornately because I cannot see the working behind the dataset (for instance : Relationship  between all the dimension)

Thus I cannot make the measure to calculate correctly,

anyone who has experince with similar situation ?
