This may be something we need to create in the cube but i was looking for a way to create an indexed measure for a dimension table so that i can visualize 'outliers'.
An example of this would be:
Item A accounts for 20% of sales and 20% of revenue so its index of revenue would be 100.
Item B accounts for another 20% of sales but 40% of revenue so would index as 200 on revenue.
The calculation i am looking to recreate in DAX would be:
((Sum(SalesCount)/sum(TOTAL SalesCount)) / (sum(Revenue)/sum(TOTAL Revenue))) * 100
where TOTAL is overall total with no selections made.
I should then be able to create a table listing items as a dimension and then the index value as a measure to allow me to quickly identify where revenue is coming from compared to actual sales volume/qty for each of the items.
Thanks
