Create a column with if condition and filtered value from another table

Hi everyone,

I am trying to create a column in my main data table by using a value from the second table. Tables do not have any relationship.

Second table has 1 column and 5 rows that I use in the slicer and need a dynamic column in my main table that has an if statement using the selected value from the slicer. 

Column = if(Losses[Claimed Amount]>=FIRSTNONBLANK('Large Loss Limit'[Limit],'Large Loss Limit'[Limit]),"Large Loss","Not Large Loss") - This one only uses the first value in the second table.

Column = if(Losses[Claimed Amount]>=SELECTEDVALUE('Large Loss Limit'[Limit],[Selected Limit]),"Large Loss","Not Large Loss") - This one does not change anything.

Any help would be appreciated.

Columns can not be dynamic. columns are get loaded at first load only.

Measures are used for dynamic calculation.

Incase you want measures please share sample data and expected output.

Incase you want columns only then it is not possible as columns are not dynamic.

Thanks for the response. 

I created a measure instead of a column, and now trying to figure out how to use the measure as a filter and also as legend for visuals.

Measure can be used as filter but can not be used as legend.
