Converting Month Names in short text to Date

I have to identical tables with Column named month which has short text values of month names (Jan, Feb, Mar.....etc). I need to convert it to date. I am using below formula which works for one table but for other it throws an error. Can anyone please explain what I am doing wrong or any better alternatives.

Formula:  Month Seq = DATEVALUE(FORMAT( "1-" & FY20[Month] & "-" & FY20[Year], "dd-mmm-yy" ))

Error:

Hi,

This error is likely caused by a row in your data where your month and year columns are blank. You can add this kind of IF clause to counter this:

IF(OR(DateFromParts[Month]=BLANK(),DateFromParts[Year]=BLANK()),BLANK(),
DATEVALUE(FORMAT( "1-" & DateFromParts[Month] & "-" & dateFromParts[Year], "dd-mmm-yy" ))

I hope this post helps to solve your issue and if it does consider accepting it as a solution and giving the post a thumbs up!

Thanks @ValtteriN . Yes there was a blank row! and your alternate formula worked like a charm.
