Conver SQL database date format

Hi Team,

 

i have trasaction date in SQL dabase and directly connected to power bi.

 

SQL database format like --Friday, December 01, 2023

i Need required format is --12/01/2023 

i have tried this format

Trasaction date = FORMAT(MIN(table[Trasacation date]),"mm/dd/yyyy") , invidually its working fine but while other fileds its showing blank..... after that i have tried to change the format but its showing only text....no other format dropdown

 

any possible to share feedback

While adding the Datavalue its taking only measuare not a table collumn. please share some inputs

Hi @Anonymous 

 

First, Convert the Transaction Date to Date Data Type:

Converted Transaction Date = 
DATEVALUE(table[Transaction date])

 

then Format the Date for Display (Calculated Colum)

Formatted Transaction Date = 
FORMAT([Converted Transaction Date], "MM/dd/yyyy")
