Conditionally formatting of a not summable ,(non measure) variable

I noted that you can only conditionally format measures. When I want to conditionallly format a (non summable) variable, then I am asked to add a Summarization.

When measures are conditionally formatted, then no Summarization is required.

Is there a work around? Can I create a pro forma calculation of my decimal variable, like ( [weight]*1) ?

Multiplicaitons are simply created as table additions, and I have not found a way yet to do something like:

CALCULATE MULTIPLY  [weight], 1

Has anyone a solution to this?
