I would like to calculate a measure to show the value (price) in a column for todays date minus the value on 8/1/2024.
Can you show to create a measure of this.

31/12/2023 | 5.33 | Hat |

Based on my testing, please try the following methods:
1.Create the sample table.
2.Create the new measure to calculate the value.
Price minus =
var _today = TODAY()
VAR TargetDate = DATE(2024,1,8)
var _toprice = CALCULATE(SUM('Table'[Price]), 'Table'[Date] = _today)
var _tarprice = CALCULATE(SUM('Table'[Price]), 'Table'[Date] = TargetDate)
RETURN
_toprice - _tarprice
3.Drag the measure into the card visual. The result is shown below.
