Hi. I am trying to calculate an average based on a different field name. I have a field named "Name" and in it, there are values of "sheet length-3 sheets", "sheet length-6 sheets", etc. In another table, there is a "value" field that would hold the value of the measurements of 3 sheets, 6 sheets, 10 sheets. I am trying to write a formula that will calculate the average of a single sheet based on those values (sheet length-3 sheets so it would need to divide by 3, etc.). Any advice?
Here is a screenshot of the data...I am trying to take the average value, divide it by the sheets based on the name, so for example, the first row, it would take the 36.28 and divide by 6 to give me an average of 6.05
Does this help?
Hi @jewels0122
please try
=
VAR SelectedTable =
ALLSELECTED ( 'Table' )
RETURN
DIVIDE (
AVERAGE ( 'Table'[Value] ),
CALCULATE (
AVERAGE ( 'Table'[LengthMin] ),
SelectedTable,
VALUES ( 'Table'[Name] )
)
)
