Hey community,
I have the following problem:
For a list of products (here ISBN) I have two measures which give me the MIN and MAX Prices for a selected time period.
Based on these measures, I calculate the the Period-over-Period percentage change via the following DAX Measure
PoP %-∆ =
VAR Part1 = DIVIDE([Price for MAX_Date],[Price for MIN_Date])
RETURN
IF(Part1=BLANK(),BLANK(),Part1-1)
However, for the total, I don't need the change of the average price, but the average of the percentage price changes.
Could someone help me with that?

Found the solution 🙂
new measure =
DIVIDE(
SUMX(
FILTER(
VALUES('Table'[ISBN]),
NOT(ISBLANK([PoP %-∆]))
),
[PoP %-∆]
),
COUNTROWS(
FILTER(
VALUES('Table'[ISBN]),
NOT(ISBLANK([PoP %-∆]))
)
)
)
Hi @00Kevin00
You may try creating a new measure like this
new measure =
DIVIDE (
SUMX ( VALUES ( 'Table'[ISBN] ), [PoP %-∆] ),
COUNTROWS ( VALUES ( 'Table'[ISBN] ) )
)
Best Regards,
Jing

Hey Jing, thanks for your reply.
I'm almost there - as you can see in my screenshot, [PoP %-∆] contains Blank rows, which should not be counted into the average calculation (but 0%, do). Could you adjust the formula so that it counts only the ISBNs where [PoP %-∆] is not blank?
Thank you so much!

This looks like a measure totals problem. Very common. See my post about it here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/DAX-Commands-and-Tips/Dealing-with-Measure-Totals/td-p/63376
