Calculate Change Rate between two years on a Measure

Hi,

 

I've created a measure name Efficiency Ratio

DIVIDE(
    SUM('Ops Summary'[Total Cost]),
    SUM('Ops Summary'[Gross Revenue])
)
 
I would like to calculate what is the change rate between 17/18 & 18/19
 
What I currently do with my data that are not a measures is creating a present value & past value and then creating Growth/Change Rate
 
Ex 
Gross Revenu Past Value = CALCULATE(SUM('Ops Summary'[Gross Revenue]),FILTER('Ops Summary','Ops Summary'[Year]="17/18"))
 
Gross Revenu Present Value = CALCULATE(SUM('Ops Summary'[Gross Revenue]),FILTER('Ops Summary','Ops Summary'[Year]="18/19"))
 
Gross Revenu Growth Rate (1Y) = ([Gross Revenu Present Value]-[Gross Revenu Past Value])/[Gross Revenu Past Value]
 
However, this way of working do not work with my measure Efficiency Ratio.
 
Any suggestion?

@Anonymous , if you have date you can use datesytd or better use Year table. Check year example

//with date , date table

YTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESYTD('Date'[Date],"12/31"))
Last YTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESYTD(dateadd('Date'[Date],-1,Year),"12/31"))
This year Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESYTD(ENDOFYEAR('Date'[Date]),"12/31"))
Last year Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESYTD(ENDOFYEAR(dateadd('Date'[Date],-1,Year)),"12/31"))
Last to last YTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESYTD(dateadd('Date'[Date],-2,Year),"12/31"))
Year behind Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),dateadd('Date'[Date],-1,Year))


//You can use Year table in place of date table

This Year = CALCULATE(sum('order'[Qty]),filter(ALL('Date'),'Date'[Year]=max('Date'[Year])))
Last Year = CALCULATE(sum('order'[Qty]),filter(ALL('Date'),'Date'[Year]=max('Date'[Year])-1))

To get the best of the time intelligence function. Make sure you have a date calendar and it has been marked as the date in model view. Also, join it with the date column of your fact/s. Refer :

I'll definetly look at all your links. I am new to PowerBi and I haven't fully understand how to work with time/date and what are the best practices.
