Average of measure per category

I have a measure(formula that calculate some value) and list on titles.
This measure calculate the value for each title and I put the table visual when it show like this:

title1value1
title2value2
title3value3

I need the average of values between all titles. So sum of values divide by number of titles. How to get this sum of values if value is a measure?

Hi,

I am not sure how your data model looks like, but please try the below AVG_measure: and put it into the card visualization.

AVG_measure: =
AVERAGEX ( VALUES ( 'your table name'[your title123 column] ), [your_meausre] )

Hi:

If your table name is "Table" and your column name over values is "Values". To get sum you can use for a measure:

Total of Values = SUM(Table[Values])

Count of Table Rows = COUNTROWS(Table)
The average can be what Juwan said or

Average of Values = AVERAGE(Table[Values])

or

Average of Values = DIVIDE([Total of Values], [Count of Table Rows])

I hope this helps..

P.S. Once you have a measure, say for "Total of Values" it now looks like [Total of Values] with brackets around the measure name.

Hi Gleb!

Could you please give more details?

What does the measure calculates? Please share the DAX formule if possible. There could be possibile ways of achieving this but depends on the measure and on the expected results.
