Hello,
I'm having real trouble with the AVERAGE function. I have a column in my data which has a score against a list of people (1-5). I want to average that column of data.
I keep getting the following message. I have tried ensuring that the cells are showing as numbers not text. I've tried ensuring that there are no text entries so just a list of numbers but I still get this message! Can anyone help?

Hi @Krobberts
even if the values are showing only digits, still the data type need to be defined as whole or decimal number. Open the query editor and change the data type of the column from general or text to whole or decimal number.
Hi @tamerj1 thank you so much! Seems so obvious now you've said that! Really appreciate your support.
