Assigned a measure as a value to a category but it doesn't Filter with Date Slicer

Hi Power Bi Community,

I have a table which has per hour data of three months and I have a measure on a specific column in that table and now i have created a new table which has two columns and 8 rows the columns are category and value one category value should be dynamic.

I have assigned the category value as the measure that i have created previously in the table which has three months data. for the remaining categories in the table i have assigned category values as static values which does not change and I created a measure which takes the value for one category as measure and for other categories i have assigned value. I have want to display it on a column chart so I placed the category and date in the x axis field and the measure in the Y axis field and tried to filter the with the date slicer but the chart doesn't filter according to the date selected.

It shows value as 1 for the column which i have assigned the measure.

Please give a solution.

Thanks & Regards,

Ibrahim.

Power BI does not support dynamic bucketing (unlike Tableau).  You need to bring your own buckets in a reference table. You can then use that table in the slicer, and in your measures you can use the filter context from that table/slicer.
