Hi,
I have a table with a list of ID's. I would like an email icon to the right of each ID that will create an email with the same address and subject but the body to have the specific ID and a specific person cc'd depending on the ID.
Thanks!
Thank you so much!
How would I edit the formula to have the main body look like this:
Dear ____
Please review "ID"
Thanks,
______
Thank you!
Hello @kadekwijaya,
You can leverage the 'mailto' protocol combined with DAX to create a custom column. Assuming you have a table IDs that looks like this:
| ID | CC_Email |
|------|---------------------|
| ID1 | person1@example.com |
| ID2 | person2@example.com |
| ... | ... |This formula will create the 'mailto' link for each ID:
Email Link =
"mailto:recipient@example.com" &
"?subject=Issue with " & IDs[ID] &
"&body=Please check " & IDs[ID] &
"&cc=" & IDs[CC_Email]Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
Does anyone know how to succesfully embed a link to a specific record in Dynamics in the email body?
The link contains several "&" characters and it seems that the email body does not really respond to that very well.
Even just trying to add the character "&" as text to the body (or to the cc or bcc field for that matter) is not working for me.
Perhaps using the ALT 38 code is a work around?
Hope someone figured this one out for me already 🙂
