Plotting one reference to multiple points on a shape map

Hi everyone,

I am trying to plot a list of companies on a UK map by local authority areas. The problem I have is that some companies operate in multiple of these areas, however the map only allows one per company. Is there any way to allow one company to be plotted to multiple areas on the map?
