Is there a way to use binary images in CARD BROWSER visual?

I have got to use binary in some visuals with the process explained in this blog:
https://www.blue-granite.com/blog/simple-steps-to-embed-images-in-power-bi

However, I have failed to use a binary image in the card browser visual. The image is not shown.
Does the card browser only admits hyperlinks to online images?
Is there a workaround so card browser admits the format: "data:image/png;base64, " & [BinaryToText]  that other visuals admit?

Regards!
Thanks
Nacho

Hi @Anonymous,

Yes - it works fine. I did a quick mockup using a data URL and it loads, e.g.:

image.png

I checked the source code and it just uses a plain image URL in HTML/CSS so as long as the data URL is valid, you'll be fine.

The part the visual does not like in your expression is this:

, "

You are adding a space character after the comma and this doesn't generate a valid URL. If you remove it, it will be okay. For completeness, here's what worked for me (taking yours as an example):

DAX

ImageURL = "data:image/png;base64," & [BinaryToText]

M (Power query) Custom Column

"data:image/png;base64," & [BinaryToText]

Hopefully this is all you need 🙂
