How to track multiple categories number increase or decrease for today vs. monthly average

Hi everyone,

Sorry for being the noobest noob in Power BI.
I find the app to be so exciting and cool, however I started working on it just a week ago in order to track trends at work.
I am in deep trouble now :))

I want to track a bigger array of categories on a daily basis compared to a monthly average.
I work in customer service and I have to track trends preferrably by percentage, for categories of cases.
So I would like to have as the basis value of comparison the average day value calculated for the last month for example. I can pull out a report and do a pivot in excel for this and just have 2 columns 1. category name 2. category value
This one I would need to be calculated as a daily average to compare the daily stats of the categories vs. how many of these categories have entered daily on average.

Stats would kind of look like this.

So if the category from column C is found in column A, then I would like to see see a percentage increase/decrease of its value (D) vs. the average of the values from the last month (values fro column b ivided by 31.

Many many many thanks in advance!

Hi @Adrian122

From the use case you described. I make the following (Comparison Bar Chart) custom visual in Power BI. I hope it will fulfill your requirement.
