How Do I Arrange A column On A Line & Cluster Chart

I'm trying to sort/arrange the values on the columns using a custom arrangement on this viz.
I'm trying to arrange in this order - (Demurrage, Pre-Development, Early Development, Advanced Development, and Signed).
Can someone please advise me on what to do?

It is very simple add new column in data table in which these column categories are present and then add sequence number for the categories like you mentioned.
use this dax to add column:
Serial Number =
SWITCH(
'YourTable'[Category],
"Demurrage", 1,
"Pre-Development", 2,
"Early Development", 3,
"Advanced Development", 4,
"Signed", 5,
BLANK()
)

now order your category column based on this new column in data view. select yout category column , GO to column tools, click on sort by column.

on the visual change the ascending or descending order of the x asis fron the sort option available at the top right corner. this will solve the isssue.

Hi,

So this is the problem I'm facing. I know about Switch but for some reason, it's not recognising the category.

Any suggestions?

no of stages completed column is in another table which is not related to your current table,  create realationship or check the column name. check for extra spaces in column name.

Still no changes.
Could you explain what this means?

are you creating a measure or column. this dax is for creating the column,
and can you shwo which dax you are using?
this error should not come when you're suing the provided dax.  phases column in phases_1 table has multiple columns and error means that you're not using any function  like min max etc that returns the single value. please provide more info.

I'm creating a measure.
And I changed the table to it's primary key.
You can see the ERD table too

for the purpose of the question you posted no need to create a new table.

1. just add new column in the tables where categories are present.

2. select category column and go to home click on sort by :select the column you created.
3 on yout column chart click on sort option(the funnel icon on top right) and select the sort by category.

ascendinn option to keep it in your sequesnce.
