I have a simple data model with survey data as follows:
I created a Deneb visual that works as expected based on the table 'Survy Data'. However, when I added a demographic category ([Job]) from the separate linked parent table 'Participation', Deneb showed that the data was cross-joined, not filtered. For (n) job titles, Deneb's dataset had the table 'Survey Data' repeated (n) times with an added column of "job". I would have expected the dataset to behave like regular tables in PBI, where pulling data items from multiple tables would result in values that were filtered based on the context.
Is this a limitation of Deneb, or am I doing something wrong? Do I have to go to the one-big-table approach to make this all work?
Thanks in advance!

Solved it myself by enabling cross-filtering and applying the security filter in both directions.
