Call API with body from Report

Er have a AR report and our invoice distributor had an api that can return a pdf copy of an invoice. It is a POST api, but if we include customer number and invoice number, it returns a pdf. I have had it work with python.

I was thinking of integrating this in the report.

How could the user for example click on an invoice number, or enter the invoice number somewhere and trigger a request to get the invoice...

Or should I integrate a power app in the power bi?

I ended up doing it with power automate. I pass on customer and invoice number to the power automate visual. When it is triggered, it uses the HTTP connector to send a API request. It returns the pdf, that is then saved to a sharepoint library, and then finally email it to the requestor.

Yes, PowerApp or Python visual is pretty much your only choice if you want to keep the user inside the report.
