Calculate Backlog

Hi ...I have 3 fields [Receipt Date], [Invoice Date] and [Sales]  ... how do i calcualte what jobs were still open at the end of the previous months.  Basicall im looking for historical sales backlog.  Im very new to PBI and dont have much DAX experience.  any help would be appreciated.
