I was wondering if there is any basic guidance regarding making Power BI custom visuals Accessible. As a US government entity we are required to follow section 508 and WCAG standards. I am new to this forum and this may be published already but I am finding that most Power BI visualizations are not 508 compliant. Or at least they are not directly out of the box. Does anyone have any pointers on how to make these visuals compliant. I am using some basic visuals to include the synoptic panel, a hierarchy viewer, and a basic report to provide visitors a map of where they need to go by room number.
Hello @stephenperry74,
Custom visuals don't follow section 508 and WCAG standards unfortunately. We haven't developed a common guideline for developers yet.
I hope that we will create a guideline soon.
