Freedom to travel the world is an important indicator of a country's soft power and economic stability. This report shows rankings of passport strength for all countries for the past 10 years.
It is interesting to compare countries and how they have increased or decreased in rank. For example, if you click on the United States in the map visual, you can quickly see that the country has decreased in rank for 4th to 9th over the past 10 years. Other countries like the #1 ranked country for 2025, Singapore, has been in the top 5 for the past 10 years, and Germany has remained in the top 3!
You can also use the year slicer on the map visual to see country ranks change over time.
This was a labor of love, especially extracting data from 10 years of PDFs (well done Power Query!). You'll also notice I created dynamic titles that double as dynamic alt text!
