to any organization's decision-making process.

Arbaz_Ahmad_2.jpg

@Arbaz_Ahmad

I'm Arbaz, and I'm a dedicated data enthusiast. My journey into the world of data began with a curiosity about how information can be transformed into valuable insights and decisions. Over the years, this curiosity has grown into a deep passion for all things related to data.

Arul_1.jpg

@Arul

Arul is an experienced Power BI developer who holds Microsoft certifications and possesses over four years of expertise in areas such as data visualization, DAX, data modeling, SQL, SSAS Tabular Model, data model optimization, and enhancing report performance. barritown_1.jpg

@barritown

I'm glad you're reading this, promise to be short. My name is Alexander. Though I am not a professional BI analyst or developer at the moment, I adore playing with data in Power BI, challenging my brain with interesting DAX or SQL puzzles and sharing knowledge through my YouTube channel.

ChielFaber_1.png

@ChielFaber

I've dedicated over five years to my role as a Data Analyst at Syncasso, an esteemed collection and bailiffs organization in The Netherlands. My journey began with a Master of Arts degree in history, but my passion for crafting data solutions led me down a different path. While I do engage in report creation, my primary focus currently revolves around constructing a comprehensive data warehouse structure, encompassing staging and datamart components, using PowerBI Dataflows

Navigating the transition from our existing SQL-based data warehouse to this more dynamic PowerBI Dataflows solution necessitates a profound understanding of PowerQuery and the intricate M language. I've invested countless hours honing my expertise, with a special nod to Ben Gribaudo's fantastic course, "Mastering M," which played a pivotal role in elevating my M language proficiency.

In the community forum, I'm driven to assist fellow members, predominantly in resolving PowerQuery-related queries. I firmly believe that collaborative knowledge-sharing within this community will not only enrich my understanding but will also contribute to the growth of all its participants.

DataInsights_1.jpg

@DataInsights

I'm a former accountant who became fascinated with technology early in my career. Excel, Access, and VBA were my entryway into the world of data. From there I moved into the ERP sector and Business Objects development. Now I focus primarily on Power BI and SQL Server. My skills have grown considerably thanks to this community, and I look forward to seeing you in the forums!

giammariam_1.jpg

@giammariam

I have been working for the Navy Readiness Reporting Enterprise BI project since 2014. Earlier on I was mostly involved in ETLing data from many different source systems into our well-established data warehouse. I was also involved in helping maintain our semantic layer (Cognos Framework). A smaller portion of my time was focused on developing various reports (Cognos). We eventually onboarded Power BI. Loving the interactivity available with Power BI, it quickly became our go-to BI tool. Our customers developed a desire for bespoke visuals that just were not possible with the standard visuals in either of our BI COTS products, so I then pivoted and began focusing on creating Power BI custom visuals using libraries such as d3.js and Vega. I currently serve as the lead developer of our team.

I truly enjoy getting to practice and learn by helping folks here on the PBI Community Forums. I *try* to focus more on post/response quality as opposed to quantity. Feel free to tag me in a post or send me a PM. Happy to help!

ibarrau_1.jpg

@ibarrau

I like data analysis. Getting to know what data is hidden and what I can discover. Showing data value to entities is what I try to do. The design of data models to get a warehouse, the construction of semantic layer and building reports/dashboards. One of the things I enjoy most are query languages, specially T-SQL and DAX. Another thing I enjoy a lot is Python for data.

@FreemanZ

Big fan of Excel and Power BI. Learning Microsoft Excel and Power BI is the best investment after graduation. Excel is everywhere, but Power BI sometimes seems humiliating. That is really not necessary. I saw a lot of people who are good at Excel for years, but stay away from Power BI. What a pity. I can't help demonstrating how easy, efficient, robust and intuitive to work with Power Query and Power BI, at all occasions. Increasingly more aspects of our life is being and will continue being digitized. I firmly believe Power BI is a must tool, like Excel has been in the past 20 years. I like what I learn.

Hey Power BI Super Users! 🌟

Hope you're all doing fantastic! I've got a fun idea and I'd love for you all to join in. 🎉

Let's get to know each other a bit more, beyond just our love for data and Power BI. How about we all create some cool data visualizations based on our hobbies, goals, or even dreams? Think of it as a little peek into what makes us tick when we're not crunching numbers. 😄

Here's the plan:

  1. Craft Your Visualization: Whip up a data viz in Power BI that represents something personal - it could be your weekend hobby, a goal you're chasing, or even a dream you're working towards. Get creative!

  2. Share and Let Others Guess: Post it here in the forum. The catch? Don't spill the beans on what it represents right away. Let's have everyone else guess what your viz is all about!

  3. The Big Reveal: After some fun guesses, reveal the story behind your data. It’s like show and tell, but with a Power BI twist!

It's all about having a bit of fun, showing off our creative side, and getting to know each other on a different level. 🥳

So, what do you say? Ready to show off a bit of your personal world through your data skills? Can't wait to see what you all come up with and maybe even learn something new about you!

https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Datanaut-Headquarters-Private/Christmas-Cheer-Through-Data...

Cheers and happy visualizing! 🚀

P.S. Let's see who can come up with the most intriguing viz! 😉
