Unable to send private message

Recently, I received the following error message while trying to send a private message:

You have reached the limit for number of private messages that you can send for now. Please try again later.

I've deleted all but 2 threads but still I can't send a private message.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for reaching out.  When you received the error, did you happen to click the button twice?  I've seen that happen before.  Please let me know if you are still experiencing this error.  You can send me a test message if you want.
