Basic Question on How to Display a Screenshot on this Forum

I use screenshots quite often when I email people but for some reason I cannot insert a screenshot here on this forum.  When emailing, I simply use "Snipping Tool" and copy/paste.  But on this forum when I paste the command is ignored.  I even tried saving my screenshots as .jpg files and .png files but that didn't work either.

What am I doing wrong?  Must be a simple fix.
