Bookmark and Selection

I'm working with bookmarks (a one page dashboard using sidebars) and I have created a filter section (also using bookmarks) which opens and close using buttons however when I move to a different section and I open the filter, it automatically takes me back to the first section even though I have unchecked data and current page. I need the filter to open and close no matter the section I am currently viewing instead of automatically going back to the first section.
