As reflexes are taking periodic snapshots of powerbi data, we're seeing a use case where we could add properties and measures to a certain level of granularity and change that into a trending table.
For example, historical snapshots of sales pipeline or forecasted revenue per day by 1-2 property categories (i.e. Region). it looks like the data is cached inside the reflex, was wondering if we could extract it for additional powerbi views.
could be a lightweight way to create trending views.
Hi - thanks for your comment. At first look, I'd say the process you use to load to Power BI would be the best place to do that aggregation and load into OneLake as well (and then you could run PBI in DirectLake mode on top of the data). If you want to record the times when Data Activator triggers fire/conditions are met, then that is something on our roadmap - we want to push that into OneLake to build up the history of the higher-order events.
We are also looking at dashboarding on top of the 'real-time' data that DA is evaluating. We're prioritizing operational state-of-the-business views rather than historical trending views, but I'd welcome your feedback on that!
yes, i'm almost thinking of a "push this data into a view" in OneLake. I use dax queries and power automate to run summarized timestamp views in the interim
