Please add the Trino/Presto connector for semantic models, data flows, and Pipeline/CopyJob via the on-premises/vnet gateway. Only the open-source connector is available, but it only works from Power BI Desktop models and does not support folding.

Best if that could be aligned with ADF implementation, so we could use Trino natively across Microsoft tools ecosystem.
Trino specific or generic ODBC driver shall be enough.Looking forward to get the official Trino support from Microsoft !
Especially for Direct Query and Dataflows support.

It’s still unclear. Trino guys seems to expect Microsoft to build the connector because Trino already exposes the required APIs, while Microsoft seems to expect Trino to provide the connectivity layer (at least a standard ODBC driver, as other platforms like Dremio or Athena do).
This has been an open issue for years with any visible progress, so I’m not sure how much collaboration is actually happening. Hopefully they’ll eventually meet in the middle. Or maybe ADBC will change the game
