Matrix visual - Tabular layout problem
The tabular layout option for the matrix visual was introduced in May. When I set "Layout" to "Tabular" in Power BI Desktop RS (May 2024); the visual is displayed correctly; however when the report containing this viusal is published to Report Server Version1.20.8910.25479 (May 2024), the visual does not render correctly and it is displayed using the default "Compact" layout. I suspect that the server does not yet support the updated matrix visual; any ideas?

This is a known issue and is currently being fixed. If reports are affected, please use the January version of Power BI Desktop RS, which can be downloaded by clicking the link below:

I'd call that a bug. If you have a Pro license you can open a Pro ticket at https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/newsupportticket/powerbi
