Image rendering issue in browser view

I have uploaded my Power BI file to OneDrive and opened it in the browser using the link, but the images in the view are not loading. Could anyone let me know what the issue is and what the solution is?

    Hi Bharath2591 ,

If the PBIX file is stored in OneDrive and opened in the browser, the first thing to check is how the images were added to the Power BI report.

If the images were added as local files from your computer, they are embedded in the PBIX and should generally be available when the report is opened. However, if the images are being loaded from external URLs, OneDrive, SharePoint, or another location, Power BI must be able to access those URLs from the browser/service. Authentication or access restrictions on those image URLs can prevent the images from rendering. Please check the following:

    1. Open the PBIX in Power BI Desktop and confirm that the images are displayed correctly.
    2. Identify whether the images are embedded in the report or referenced through an Image URL.
    3. If they are Image URLs, copy one of the URLs and open it directly in an incognito/private browser window. Confirm that the image loads without requiring authentication.
    4. If the images are stored in OneDrive/SharePoint, verify that the users accessing the report have permission to the underlying image files.
    5. Check whether the image URLs are publicly/directly accessible and return an actual image rather than an HTML login or redirect page.
    6. If possible, test with a simple publicly accessible image URL. If that image loads but the existing images do not, the issue is most likely related to the image URL/access configuration.

    Thanks,
    Chaithanya.

  • HiBharath2591,

Please start by testing the image URL directly in the browser and checking the Network tab. If the images are accessible but still do not display in the published report, test with a simple PNG image embedded directly into the PBIX file.

If the embedded image works but the URL-based image does not, focus on image hosting, authentication and URL accessibility rather than rebuilding the report.

     Best Regards,Maruthi
