i am using custom forms authentication using SQL Server. and i want to grant access to 1000 of users

i am using custom forms authentication using SQL Server. and i want to grant access to 1000 of users is that possible through groups? if possible can you guys guide me how to create groups in SQL ?
ALl my users are in SQL Server Database.
