Report Server - API Data Source Connection Issue
Hi, I have May 2019 version Power BI Desktop and Report Server. Using OData feed , I created a dashboard pulling CRM data , but the same authenication doesnt work in Report Server Data Source connection. I have Anonmyous, Basic , Windows and Key Authentication Type as options. The windows authenication doesnt work with the D365 credentails that I used in Desktop and I couldnt do scheduled refresh. When you develop reports locally with PowerBI Desktop you have to use ‘Organizational account’ authentication type and sign in with your D365 credentials to pull API data. Do Power BI Report Server have OAuth authentication type to pass this type of credentials to the D365 API?Report Server data connection
Hi Team, A few of question about Report Server. 1. WHY do we still need to have Pro license for us to be able to upload our PBIX files into Power BI Report Server? 2. WHEN connected to on-prem AS server via Power BI desktop, and upload the file to Report Server, do the connection get retain? 3. HOW does it work when uploading to different environment (i.e. UAT and PROD). Is it just simple as changing the Report Server url in Power BI desktop? Cheers, Gil

I make a report and configured to show in powerbi.com and run every day. the problem is that when my computer or gateway is sleep or off, the visuals are not visible and I really don't know what is going on the queries are mix some visuals are Import and does work fine, but I added others that are Direct Query and does doesn't work if my computer is off Any suggestion and thanks in advanced
Installed Aug 18 RS and now getting an error when trying to publish to RS
HI, I just installed the Aug 18 version of PBI RS. I keep getting an error message saying there was an error and it wouldn't save my report to the report server. Is there something else I need to install to get this to work? It was working fine with the March Version. Thanks!

Hello, I am currently facing some issues with my PowerBI Report Server in the sense that it seems to lose conection with the Report Server Instance. I suspect this has something to with a patch instaliation that needs a server restart. I am not the only person that has acces to this server, so I would like to know if there is a way to get a patch/update history for the Power Bi Report Server. For those that want the bigger picture the problem is as follows: a) The https GET to the main page returns 503 b) Data Base Server is up and running (SQL Server 2012 Enterprise) c) Front end server is up and running(WIN Server 2012 R2 Standard) d) When opening the "Report Server Configuration Manager" the "The Report Server Configuration Connection" form freezes, promting onle the Server Name and not beeing able to diplay the Report Server instance. After a server restart it runs like a charm. I would however like to know what can cause this "freez". SCOM alerts promted a "Pending System reboot". Again this might not be related but I am getting desperate here. Thanks in advance, Alex
