Underlying data export not working

Hi,

Underlying data export is greyed out in my report. I have enabled underlying data export in Power BI desktop and Power bi service report. When I tried underlying data export without build permission it is blocked. But when I tried with Build permission I'm able to export underlying data.

Do we really need build permission to export underlying data?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi Vignesh1715150 ,

Yes,you are right. In order to export the data, the user needs at least the build permission for the corresponding dataset.

We can find a description of this content in the official documentation

    Build permission for shared datasets

    Hope it helps,

Vignesh1715150  - Make the export access is enabled in the tenant settings (admin portal) and you have been added to that security group.

Depending on your access and tenant, you might need to be a global admin to see some of the tenant settings.
