Mandatory Requirement:
Yes, enabling the "Service principals can use Fabric APIs" option is mandatory if you plan to use Power BI REST APIs with a service principal. You can apply this to the entire organization or specific security groups.Security Risks:
- Org-Wide: Higher risk as all service principals in your tenant get access. Use this only if necessary.
- Specific Security Groups: Safer, as it limits access to authorized service principals.
Recommendation: Use specific security groups for better control and minimize potential misuse.
