Do org apps require fabric?
Hello - I have a workspace that is set as "Power BI Pro" workspace type. It contains two Org Apps.
All users who interact with the workspace and Org Apps are PBI Pro licensed.
Yesterday, I saw this warning banner at the top of the workspace. "Your Microsoft Fabric trial has ended. To continue to work with Fabric items, buy Fabric or move the items to a Power BI Premium capacity. Fabric items not moved within 7 days after your trial ends may be permanently deleted."
I'm not sure what this means or if I should be concerned. To my knowledge, we are not using anything that explicitly requires fabric or that would have been based on a trial (we plan to use Fabric "soon", but not there yet). I have the option to make it switch to a Fabric Trial workspace type... which again leads me to believe we were not using a trial if I still have the option.
Is there any way I can confirm which objects this warning may be referring to or if there's nothing to worry about?
Hi jaydub,
According to the docs, pro workspaces should support org apps:
So if org apps, semantic models, and reports are the only items in your workspace, then you should be fine. If you have other Fabric items, they will be deleted 7 days after your trial expires.
