Power Query Editing (Filtering using Table.SelectRows)
Hi All,
I'm working on table that I need to filter using the below command.
= Table.SelectRows(#"Rename Value and Billing Date", each ([BillT] = "IV" or [BillT] = "ZFR"))
I also need to pull in data that contains the letter string "EH" in another column titled "Part Number" (changed from being titled "Material"). This is data that is filtered out by using the above command. I've left a sample below. Any ideas?
Data I need after using the command above:
| Part Number (Changed from "Material") | BillT |
| 123456 | ZFR |
| 587956 | IV |
| 164613 | IV |
| 987646 | ZFR |
Data I need to pull in with the text "EH" in the part number
| Part Number (Changed from "Material") | BillT |
| PEH1556461 | ZF2 |
| PEH4154666 | ZF2 |
| EH12164613 | ZF2 |
| EH51987646 | ZF2 |
*Note*
I cannot include all rows with "ZF2" in the BillT column.
Thanks All.
Hi vojtechsima ,
Thank you for the help I was able to figure out after seeing your response. With a few modifications I got it done. Here is the final formula I used. I actually needed tthe or function for each of these filters. Thanks for the help!
= Table.SelectRows(#"Changed Type", each Text.Contains([Material], "EH") or [BillT] = "IV" or [BillT] = "ZFR")

Hi, tywoodworth ,
try modifying your code like this:= Table.SelectRows(#"Rename Value and Billing Date", each ([BillT] = "IV" or [BillT] = "ZFR") and Text.Contains([#"Part Number"" (changed from being titled ""Material"")"], "EH")) - tywoodworthRegular Visitor
