HELP! Python script error: No module name "braintree"

Hello,

I am trying to connect Braintree data via API into Power Bi desktop.

Even though I have installed the Braintree gateway package in CMD, still receiving an error message that there is no module called Braintree (by running import braintree python script in Power BI)

However, the package can be run successfully if it's under Jupyternotebook environment. Please advise the reason. Thanks!

  • You can probably get this working in Desktop by making sure you have the appropriate package installed locally but if you plan to publish to the Power BI Service, then you're constrained by what packages are supported.

      Hello  Alexis,

      Thank you for your response.

Though eventually, I would like to make it publish to Power BI Service, the error message I received is when I am working in Desktop. Also, I have installed the package locally, what could be the reason that caused the error message?

      Thank you.

If you've got everything installed and in the right place, then I have no idea what the error is.

Can you verify if it's just related to that package? That is, do other packages still work? If not, then you probably don't have Power BI pointing to python correctly.
