Dataset refresh issue
Good morning everyone,
I'm facing an issue when refreshing a dataset online.
The refresh is scheduled every two hours. I have 3 reports connected to this dataset.
Every refresh runs succesfully at the corrected time, it takes about 3 minutes to complete. In one of the tables I add a conditional column as DateTime.FixedLocalNow() to get the time of the refresh and display it on screen in the reports. I use this column as follows:
To make sure the underlying data are refreshed at the correct time
After the dataset refresh though, that column shows me the time of the previous refresh (or two refreshes before). The example above, is shown now, at 12:30 PM, despite having run two more refreshes.
If I download the dataset and open it on desktop, I see the same result. If I run a manual update on desktop, that field will be correct.

The data on your report could be cached in your browser. It is always a good idea to refresh the browser itself.
A good indicator for whether you are looking at the refreshed data is the refresh date/time:
Notice that Power BI Service always use UTC time. Remember to add or subtract the corresponding time difference to your last refresh time formula.
