Data Explorer glitched on scroll

Good afternoon, everyone!

I've been experiencing some issues with the Data pane in Power BI Desktop. Whenever I scroll up or down, the panel glitches, causing the list of tables and fields to freeze or stop updating visually.

I've already tried repairing the installation, reinstalling Power BI Desktop, updating to the latest version, and updating my graphics drivers, but none of these attempts have resolved the issue.

Has anyone experienced something similar or found a solution?

I've attached a video demonstrating the issue. In the video, I first scroll up, wait for the glitch to disappear, and then scroll down. As you can see, the problem persists in both directions.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

    Hi MonroyJ

Thanks for sharing the video and the troubleshooting steps you've already tried.

Since the issue persists after reinstalling Power BI Desktop and updating the graphics drivers, could you please confirm whether it occurs with all PBIX files or only a specific report? Also, please share your Power BI Desktop version and whether you're using a single or multiple displays.

As a further check, try changing the Windows display scaling or testing with a single display, if applicable to see whether the behavior changes.

I am experiencing the same issue. I thought it was something wrong with my system.

      Hi v-aatheeque

This issue occurs with every PBIX file I open, not just one specific file. I've already tried all the suggested solutions mentioned in this thread, including changing the screen resolution, testing with a different monitor, and updating Microsoft Edge WebView2. Unfortunately, none of these solutions has resolved the issue.
in addition, my PBI version is

      Version: 2.159.883.0 64-bit (October 2026)
and i use only one display.

    Hi,

I’ve seen this kind of rendering glitch before. The Data pane is drawn with WebView2, so I’d try these first:

    1. Update Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime separately from Desktop.
    2. Turn off Windows “Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling” (Settings > System > Display > Graphics) and restart.
    3. Change display scaling (try 100%), or test on a different monitor.

If it still glitches, roll back to the July 2026 build to check whether it’s a regression in the newer one.

If this helped, feel free to give it a kudos or mark it as solution, helps others find it too.

  • Hi, I’m experiencing exactly the same issue shown in your video. When scrolling up or down in the Data pane, the list rapidly jumps back and forth, making the tables and fields almost impossible to read.

My Power BI Desktop version is 2.159.883.0, 64-bit (October 2026).

I notice it particularly when scrolling past hidden tables or fields marked with the crossed-out eye icon, although I’m not sure whether that is related.
