Countax Example

Hello

I would like to calculate the quantity with countax.

The goal is to have the total of the rows where in the column A of table there are the valuse A and B.

The result should be in this example 2 (A+B).

I have allready a command

"All Clients",CALCULATE(COUNTAX('Export_User_Global','Export_User_Global'[UserPrincipalName]),FILTER(ALLEXCEPT('Export_User_Global','Export_User_Global'[Company]),[TeamsUpdateManagementPolicy]="Teams Classic" && "New Teams Client")))

This does not work

Do you have an idea.
"Teams Classic" and "New Teams Client" should be counted.

Heinrich

    Hi Heinrich ,

    Thanks for the reply Greg_Deckler , it is an important step forward in resolving the issue.

    I used the example data you provided and selected Create a measure in the Data view.

    Please try:

    count =
    CALCULATE(
        COUNTAX('Export_User_Global', 'Export_User_Global'[Application]),
        FILTER(
            'Export_User_Global',
            'Export_User_Global'[Application] = "Teams Classic" || 'Export_User_Global'[Application] = "New Teams Client"
        )
    )

    The page effect is shown below:

    If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me.

    The pbix file is attached.

    Heinrich That doesn't look like valid DAX code. Sorry, having trouble following, can you post sample data as text and expected output?
    Not really enough information to go on, please first check if your issue is a common issue listed here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/Before-You-Post-Read-This/ba-p/1116882

    Also, please see this post regarding How to Get Your Question Answered Quickly: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/How-to-Get-Your-Question-Answered-Quickly/ba-p/38490

    The most important parts are:
    1. Sample data as text, use the table tool in the editing bar
    2. Expected output from sample data
    3. Explanation in words of how to get from 1. to 2.

    Hi

    Thank you very much

    Of course.

    Here the sample data

    UPNNameCountryCountryAbbreviationCompanyTitleAccountEnabledApplication
    xxItalyITa Truea
    aaFranceFRb TrueNew Teams Client
    bbSwitzerlandCHc TrueTeams Classic
    ccIndiaINd TrueNew Teams Client
    ddIndiaINe TrueTeams Classic
    eeIndiaINf TrueNew Teams Client

    The result should be 5. Counting only the rows of column Application and only the values  "Teams Classic" and "New Teams Client".

    Regards

    Heinrich
