Dashboard tiles don't work properly

Hope someone has faced a similar issue and can suggest a possible solution.

I'm experiencing a problem where dashboard tiles fail to render for some users in a published app. The dashboard contains basic column charts and cards, pinned from four different reports - all published in the same workspace and included in the same app as the dashboard in question.

None of the reports use RLS, and they all are based on live connections. However, instead of seeing the actual visuals, users see the gray Power BI logo. For some, only a few tiles fail to render. For others, none of the tiles display properly.

I tried to unpublish the reports, create a new test dashboard, re-pin the same visuals, and republish everything, but the issue persists. The dashboard displays correctly for me, but the rendering issue affects both app-only users and workspace admins. In some cases, the problem occurs even when accessing the dashboard within the workspace itself.

    Hi Daewon ,

Dashboard tiles not showing up? Annoying! Here are some quick, realistic checks:

    • Browser Cache: Tell users to clear their browser cache/cookies, or try incognito. Often works.

    • Permissions: Double-check users have "Build" permission on datasets and "Viewer" on all source reports. It's easy to miss one.

    • Gateway Status: Since it's live connect, confirm your on-premises data gateway is running fine and online. Restart it if unsure.

    • Browser Extensions: Ask users to temporarily disable any ad-blockers or security extensions. They can sometimes block rendering.

    • Capacity Load (Premium): If on Premium, check if your capacity is overloaded when users try to view.

    • Direct Report Access: Have affected users try opening one of the source reports directly. Does that load? Helps narrow it down.

    Hope this helps!

      Hello! Thanks for the tips.

      • Browser cache isn't an issue here. For multiple users tiles don't load even after the cache was cleared
      • Permissions were checked as well. Even admins of the workspace where reports and the dashboard are published, experience this issue
      • There're no problems with the gateway either
      • When clicked on a tile that doesn't render, users get transfered to the original report and everything looks as it's supposed to look like. It's a dashboard only problem
