Upgrade trial capacity
I have just started a trial fabric capacity-4. I want replace 4 capacity with 64. According to official documents there is a change size button. But it is not available in my page.
Also according to official doc:
| Eligibility to increase trial capacity may vary. If you do not see the option, please contact your Microsoft sales representative or contact Azure sales team for assistance. Changing the trial capacity doesn't change the length of the trial. The number of remaining days doesn't reset or become extended. |
However I cannot access anyone and I cannot create any cases.
The behavior you're seeing is expected based on the current Fabric trial experience.
The "Change size" option is only available for eligible trial tenants. Microsoft determines eligibility based on factors such as the tenant, region, subscription, and internal provisioning policies. As noted in the documentation, not all trial capacities can be upgraded from F4 to a larger size (such as F64).
Since the Change size button isn't visible, it generally means your tenant isn't currently eligible for a trial capacity upgrade through self-service.
What are your options?
Verify you're a Fabric Administrator or Global Administrator, as only users with the appropriate permissions can manage trial capacities.
Confirm you're viewing the Trial Capacity settings in the Fabric Admin portal, where the option would appear if your tenant is eligible.
If the option still isn't available, there isn't a manual way to force the upgrade from the portal.
If you don't have access to a Microsoft sales representative, you can:
Contact your organization's Microsoft account team (if applicable).
Post in the Microsoft Fabric Community (as you've done) to see if a Microsoft moderator can advise whether your tenant is eligible.
Open a support request through the Microsoft 365 or Azure portal if your organization has a support plan. Unfortunately, trial tenants without a support contract typically can't create technical support tickets for this type of request.
If you specifically need F64 for testing larger workloads, the most reliable option is to purchase (or have your organization provision) a Fabric capacity, as trial upgrades aren't guaranteed to be available for every tenant.

Hi selcukkilinc
Thanks for raising this query in Fabric Community Forum.Thank you for raising this question.
Based on Microsoft’s documentation, the Change size option is only displayed for trial capacities that are eligible to be increased from F4 (4 CUs) to F64 (64 CUs). Eligibility varies by tenant, and if the option isn’t visible in your Fabric Admin Portal, it means your current trial isn’t eligible for an in‑place upgrade.
It’s important to note that even when available, increasing trial capacity does not extend or reset the trial duration the number of remaining days stays the same.
For tenants without the Change size option, Microsoft recommends contacting your sales representative or the Azure sales team to discuss upgrade eligibility. If you don’t have direct access to create a support case, you may need to work with your organization’s Microsoft 365/Fabric administrator or account team, as they may have the necessary contacts to escalate.Useful link : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/fundamentals/fabric-trial

Hi selcukkilinc,
If you are in Azure Portal, you should be able to scale the capacity on the Capacity page.:
Once you click on F64 and resize, it should scale in a few mins. If you see issues, you will need a pause and start to your capacity
If you are in the fabric portal, goto Settings (gear icon) > Admin Portal > Capacity settings > Fabric Capacity > your capacity. It then takes you to the azure portal.
