Live pools option in "Enviroment" not available
According to March update, it seems like we should be able to create and hydrate spark clusters through enviroments in workspaces.
Have done as documentation says regarding Configure custom live pools in Microsoft Fabric - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn
– Paid capacity (In Northern Europe)
– Custom capacity pool with autoscale min ≥ 2 (and workspace pool)
– Not starter pool
– Compute customization enabled
– Multiple workspaces tested
– Incognito / hard reload tested
Does anybody have an idea what this could be and why we do not get up the "Live pool" radio-button?
Hi adrianbobby,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.
From what you have described, your configuration looks correct and aligned with the documentation especially with paid capacity, auto scale settings, and compute customization already enabled. Since you have also tested across workspaces and browsers, this doesn’t appear to be a setup issue on your side.
This is most likely due to the Live pools feature still being in a staged rollout/preview phase in Microsoft Fabric. Even though the documentation is available, the “Live pool” option may not yet be enabled for all tenants or regions (including Northern Europe), as these features are often controlled via internal feature flags. I’d recommend checking with your Fabric admin for any preview settings. Please refer these links below are mentioned:
1. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/data-engineering/custom-live-pools-overview
2. https://roadmap.fabric.microsoft.com/?product=dataengineeringHope that clarifies. Let us know if you have any doubts regarding this. We will be happy to help.
