Struggling to keep up with sales trends, inventory levels, and purchasing efficiency? Manual reporting eats up valuable time, while scattered data makes it hard to spot critical insights, leading to stockouts, overordering, or missed sales opportunities. 6 Key Benefits of This Power BI Dashboard: Real-Time Purchase Tracking – Monitor order timelines, quantities, and supplier delays to optimize procurement and avoid stock shortages. Smart Inventory Control – Analyze receiving-to-billing cycles and weekly stock trends to maintain ideal inventory levels and reduce carrying costs. Sales Performance Clarity – Track monthly trends, top customers, and product demand to refine pricing and promotions. Faster Financial Oversight – Streamline billing processes with metrics on average billing days, improving cash flow predictability. Pre-Built KPIs for Quick Decisions – Leverage ready-made metrics (e.g., sales efficiency, customer behavior) without complex analysis. Scalable for Growth – Customize dashboards as your business expands, ensuring insights stay relevant without extra IT effort. No more guesswork, just data-driven decisions at a glance. eyJrIjoiOGJkNzJjZTYtMmFkMy00Y2NlLTlhNzAtYzY2NDE1MzEwYzAxIiwidCI6ImE5NDUyNTg2LTJmNGMtNGNiMS04ZDJlLTI2ODkyODllZTcyNiIsImMiOjl912KViews15likes15CommentsFantasy Premiere League Analytics Hub v3

Hi everyone, this is my submission for this week's Workout Wednesday! Bookmarks can be a little bit tricky sometimes especially when there's lots of elements to show and hide. This Workout Wednesday uses 4 bookmarks (and even more for the bonus challenge) but it's so satisfying when it comes together. This is especially useful if there's parts of your dashboard that you'd like to explain to the user and you don't feel like a tooltip is enough.794Views1like0CommentsWorkout Wednesday 2026 Week 41: Stripe Chart Using Native Column Chart
This week's challenge is from Santhana Lakshmi Ponnurasan. What if a column chart could tell a story through color? A stripe chart uses colored stripes to reveal patterns and changes in data at a glance. In this exercise, we’ll transform Power BI’s native column chart into a stripe chart where each stripe represents a data point, and its color helps us spot patterns, changes, and unusual values. Same visual, a different way to see the data. Ready to give your column chart a makeover? Two sites of the same walk-in clinic report the same average wait. 14.8 minutes at Site A, 14.8 minutes at Site B. On a KPI card they are twins, and there is nothing to discuss. Then you look at the 2400 individual waits. Site A runs mostly quick, with a tail that drags out to 42 minutes. Site B never exceeds 22 minutes, but its waits pile up around 12 and 17 minutes, with a dip in between. Two different processes wearing the same number. A histogram would have shown that in one glance. Power BI has no histogram among its core visuals, and the column chart looks like a bar chart out of the box: a gap between every bar and a strip of air at both ends of the plot area. Both are settings. Under Columns > Layout, set space between categories and outer padding to 0% and the bars close up into a histogram. The harder part is the bins. How wide they are is a choice you make, and it changes the picture. At 1 minute per bin, Site B clearly has two humps. At 5 minutes per bin, they merge into one broad block and the story is gone. This week you build the bins in DAX and hand the bin width to the reader with a slicer. Then click through the widths and see what a single fixed choice would have hidden. Hey everyone, welcome to this week's Workout Wednesday!😊 We've all been there: a stakeholder asks for a super slick, polished design, but then drops the catch - no custom visuals allowed due to security rules. In this challenge, we're getting around that limitation by using inline SVG code inside dynamic DAX measures. You'll build color-shifting progress rings that update on the fly right inside a standard Power BI Table visual. No external downloads, no compliance headaches - just a clever way to stretch native features further. Dive in and give it a shot!257Views0likes0CommentsWorkout Wednesday 2026 Week 37: Categorical Icon Matrix
The Sept 16 #Wow2026 Challenge is from Santhana Lakshmi Ponnurasan. Happy National Guacamole Day! As a big fan of guac, I wanted to celebrate by bringing together two of my favorite things- Power BI and guacamole. Because why simply enjoy a bowl of guac when you can also turn it into a data visualization? An Icon Matrix uses simple icons instead of repeating the same words or numbers in every cell. This makes the visual easier to read because you can quickly scan the icons and spot patterns without reading each value individually. It is especially useful when comparing simple categories such as Yes, Maybe, and No, or showing status and compatibility. In this example, the icons help us understand what each ingredient brings to the guac- whether it makes it classic, spicy, chunky, fruity, or kid-friendly. And, of course, I built it in two different ways: using Power BI’s native conditional-formatting feature and using DAX. This week's challenge is from James Stratton. Welcome back to Workout Wednesday! This week we’re exploring parts to a whole using a waffle chart and unemployment data. This visual was inspired by Steven Ponce, whose work has been a great source of inspiration for me. It also builds on my previous Workout Wednesday waffle chart, giving me an opportunity to revisit the visual and take it in a different direction. The most challenging—and probably my favorite—part of this visual is the DAX. For more info, see https://www.workout-wednesday.com/pbi-2026-w36/396Views3likes1Comment
