Allow visuals to be placed based on another visuals position.
Hi Community, just like in PowerApps it would be great to be able to determine a visuals position based on another visuals current coordinates, height and width. This is what the visuals look like (dummy): The cursive is the current way of working, the bold would be the requested feature: Current Situation Current Situation Proposed Feature Proposed Feature Visual Visual A Visual B Visual A Visual B X (horizontal) 20 190 Screen.X + 20 Visual A.X + Visual A.Width + 20 Y (vertical) 20 20 Screen.Y + 20 Visual A.Y Width 150 150 150 Visual A.Width Height 100 100 100 Visual A.Height This would lead to only needing to update one visuals position or dimensions to be able to move all visuals simultaneously. Introduce Standard Box Plot Visualizations
Please add common data visualizations (such as box plots) to Power BI. Third party add ins should not be the solution to creating commonly used visualizations. Example case: Our org is currently straddling Tableau and Power BI. I have been disappointed at the number of visuals that are present in Excel, but not Power BI. Box plots are a prime example. We are not interested in 3rd party solutions (certified add ins) to solve basic visualizations that already exist in both Tableau and in Excel. It just makes Power BI look sub-par when it cannot provide what Excel does.
Hide/show visuals with measures
It would be much helpfull to control the visibility of each visual with a field value (measure) that returns true or false. Right now we can only change visual visibility with bookmarks, or do some tricks with transparency, but they are both very limited in uses and a nightmare to create and maintain. This solution would allow for example to change visual visibility in all report pages (instead of just one with bookmarks), to change visibility with data changes, to show larger visuals as the data grows and probably much more... Dont know how hard it would be to implement, but I think it is worth the suggestion. Cheers!
Better Sankey
The Sankey Diagram as it is today is an extremely useful visual for showing network, process, or system flow. However there are some serious limitations that, if fixed, would make this visual TOP NOTCH. (Most important in this list) Conditional Color formatting for the nodes and links based on columns and/or measures We could show the status of each link/node IN THE SANKEY??? Mind blown. Make labels visible not by the node size, but by the distance from adjacent nodes. It's frustrating to have 6 inches of white space on either side of a node, but the label won't display because the node is small. Have a button to restore the default locations of the nodes if they're moved (Extra credit) Have an option to re-position the nodes to have minimal overlapping links Formatting data for Sankey VisualMake card clickable as filter
We have some dashboards where the users want to see a flow chart, with a details table underneath.Then when they click a section in the flow chart, they want the details table to show only hte information belonging to the selection in that section. For the flow chart I use cards, but I cannot use them as filters. Right now I work with shapes and bookmarks to filter the details table, but then unselecting the filter is annoying. What we would like to see: Make the card such that if you click it the filters on that card are applied to the whole page and when you click it again this filtering is undone.
Which Visuals are best for a Scorecard Report?
Hello everyone, Recently i've been tasked to migrate a Plant Scorecard Report from Excel into Power BI. I've tried to use different visuals but can't seem to find the best one to replicate exaclty what i have on Excel, This is the Excel File i'm currently using: The Key Statistics are measures i created in PBI, but i need them to be divided by week. Can anyone help me? I'd really appreciate it.Include Header Line as Option to Title in Slicers
So i was wondering if there's any way to add the box/lines option that Headers may have on Slicers, on Titles. Besides not looking something cooler, i'm creating a report with easy-to-understand slicers so that the user can adjust. The lines of the headers makes easier to the user to see what are the fields being sliced on. Also, i don't think that it is trivial to rename a column condittionally (if it is possible to do so), e.g. if the user has not filled a certain slicer field (since resetting all selections is a option in my report), the text would change from "Value" to something like "Value - Selection Required!". So, it's basically adding the shape options that headers have to titles. Thank you!
