Hello everyone, we recently updated the Power BI Report Server on premise with the January 2024 version. Since then we are unable to create a scheduled refresh. When creating in the Report Server we always get the error: An error has occurred. Something went wrong. Please try again later. When we look into the log file there ist the following error: 2024-02-19 14:51:12.2626|ERROR|59|OData exception occurred: System.Net.WebException: The request failed with HTTP status 503: Service Unavailable. Hello, I'd like to ask for your help. I have a problem with automatic update of PowerBi, the source for my data is MES database. "The scheduled update is inactive because at least one data source is missing login credentials. To restart the update, go to the settings page for this dataset and enter the login credentials for all data sources. Then reactivate the scheduled update." Do you have any experience with this, how can I fix it so I can update the file automatically? Thank you Barbora546Views0likes1CommentUpdating a Published Power BI Report
Hello Everyone! Since I am new to using Power BI, I have a question that may sound a bit beginner-ish. After working on a Power BI report on the desktop version, I have Published the report to be shared between me & my colleagues. My question is, what is the best way to update the data for this report, without affecting access to the report itself? My end result would be a shared report, which I can add monthly updates to, and be reflected within the same already published report. Thank you so much in advance, appreciate it if someone could help me.Solved881Views0likes1CommentNot able to schedule a refresh for weekly or monthly after latest update
Greetings, After updating to the September 2022 update we are no longer to schedule refreshes longer than a day or two. I found the following error in the logs: processing!ReportServer_0-5!4d10!11/07/2022-13:11:05:: e ERROR: An exception occurred when checking support for Safe Expressions Runtime. Details: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.CodeAnalysis.VisualBasic, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1. Note: There is some performance penalty associated with assembly bind failure logging. To turn this feature off, remove the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog]. I was planning to set the reg key for more advanced logging but the valule does not seem right HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog. I've looked over various articles and they point to missing a dll file or dot net issue. It has all the latest dotnet 4.8 installed. Anyone run into this or have any ideas?1.2KViews0likes4CommentsPower BI Report Server Stop Refreshing on an Hourly Basis
Hi All, My Power BI Report Server stopped refreshing my Power BI dashboard. Could someone let me know what are some of the common causes for this problem. The only way I get it to work is go to the scheduler and do a manual refresh. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. BobSolved688Views0likes1CommentImpact of updating the report server
I have a question about Power BI report server update. The company I work use the Power BI Report Server of january/2021 and we all use the Power BI desktop for this version (jan/2021) However, some users have updated Power BI desktop to the 2022 version and after that, they are no longer able to publish a report on the server. My question is about the impact of updating the report server if this will impact reports that already exist on the server.Solved1.2KViews0likes1CommentPower BI Report update sharepoint
Hello, We already have a report published in Power Bi. We improved the report and saved it under the same name on our sharepoint (onedrive). The old report was archived. Now we want the report dataset to be updatet with the new report (which has the same name) in power Bi. How does this work? We dont want to delete the whole report in Power Bi and then upload it again. We want to just update the already excisted report with the new file on our sharepoint.
